How to Make Cute Washcloth Reindeer

Christmas is approaching quickly. If you're like me, you're trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. Why not make some cute gifts, that are super easy and quick to make?

I think these washcloth reindeer are absolutely adorable. And I'll teach you how to make you're very own!

I think these reindeer are absolutely adorable! And I'll teach you how to make you're very own! So grab a cup of hot chocolate or eggnog, turn on some Christmas music and get crafting!

You will Need:

  • A washcloth
  • Brown pipe cleaners
  • Pom poms (I chose red. You can do brown or black)
  • A rubber band
  • Ribbon
  • A bar of your favorite soap
  • Googly eyes
  • A hot glue gun
How to make it:

Lay your washcloth down so that it's in the shape of a diamond.

Place the bar of soap near the center of the washcloth, but not quite in the middle. Like this

Next you will fold the bottom corner up to the middle, covering the bar of soap.

Fold the top corner down and around the back of the soap. You should see the corner at the top again, but on the back.

Now, fold up the sides so they meet in the middle. Tuck the top corner underneath. Tie with a rubber band, making ears.

Fold a pipe cleaner in half and set it aside. Fold another pipe cleaner in half, and cut it in the middle. Fold one of the halves in half and cut it again. Twist the two small pieces around each side of the pipe cleaner you have set aside, making antlers.

Put hot glue on the bottome of one side of the antlers. Secure them between the two ears.

Now glue on two eyes and a nose and use ribbon to tie a bow, hiding the rubber band.

You now have an adorable reindeer that you can give someone or keep for yourself!

A Handmade Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner. It's my favorite time of year. We've already started listening to Christmas music.

We decided this year we're having a homemade Christmas. So we're making all the gifts we're giving this year. I've spent the day working on my sister's big gift. I'm pretty excited about it. It's completely handmade and it's definitely going to take days to complete. But it'll be worth it! I'll post what I made her after Christmas. I don't want to take the chance of her seeing it beforehand.

I've also been working on my dad's big gift. His isn't exactly handmade, but it is hand assembled. I'm pretty stoked to see what he thinks of it.

Over the upcoming weeks, I'll be spending most of everyday working on gifts for everyone. I honestly think a handmade Christmas, was a great idea.

Christmas Catch Up

Hey everyone! I hope you each had a lovely Christmas. I know I did. I got to see family I hadn't seen in so long. We even had some crazy laughs. My sister got me a Lego onesie that had a connector on the top! It was probably hands down my favorite gift I got. We couldn't stop laughing about it.

On a different, not so happy note, my friend was buried while we've been home. It was rough, but I'm working through it. I also had a close family friend pass away on Christmas day, as well as my grandmother having to stay in the hospital.

But I'm super stoked for New Years! I'll be spending it with some old friends! What about you all? What are you doing for New Years?

Things to Love About the Holidays

The holidays are here and I can honestly say, this is my absolute favorite time of year. I just love everything about it. So what are the things that I love most about the holidays?

SNOW!!

Snow may not be as fun as it once was, when you were a kid and got out of school for the day, but that doesn't mean it's not something to love about this time of year. Snow leaves everything looking beautiful and with it comes a sense of calmness.

Sweaters

What's not to love about sweaters? They're warm and cozy and soft. Basically all around awesome. They can be super cute with lots of patterns and colors or an Ugly Christmas sweater, covered with pompoms, for a party. Either way, sweaters can't be beat.

Family

For many of us, the holidays are the one time of year that we get to see our family.

Decorations

With the holidays, come beautiful decorations. Not all are store bought though. I'm definitely a DIYer and this time of year lets me bring out my craftiness, whether i be making cookies or ornaments.

Movies

November and December is the time that movie studios release their best movies of the year!
Not only that but this is the one time of year where it's acceptable to watch Love Actually and Elf everyday.

Music

Sometimes the Christmas music can become annoying, especially with how early they have begun to play it. But who doesn't love Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You? The catchy song will have you dancing along with it every time it's played.
